ACCESSIBILITY

(We are providing these links only as a convenience. Including the links on this website does not express or imply any endorsement of any third-party products or services.)
How do I get to the event if I have a disability or chronic illness?

Will there be wheelchairs or scooters to rent?

What kinds of ADA accommodations will you be providing?
  • We are currently working on getting ASL interpreters for the event.

  • We will have audio description headphones for the blind or visually impaired, which is provided by Washington Ear (http://www.washear.org/). Equipment will be limited and will be provided first come first serve.

  • A space in the front of the stage will be reserved for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Community. Space will be limited and provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Is the March route accessible?

The March route is 100% accessible. It is 1.5 miles, which we understand that some individuals may not be able to fully complete. We highly suggest that you review the route to decide if you plan to march.

We ensured that the route was close to several metro stops so that people can exit at anytime if needed. The metro stops along the route include the Smithsonian, L’Enfant Plaza, and Federal Center SW. Please make sure you look at the DC Metro website to make sure the metro stop you plan to use is open on the day of the event. You can check the alerts at: https://www.wmata.com/service/status/
